Over the Weekend of 26/27 October 2019, we have a unique 1 day cycle safari, from the Equator "Mogotio" just beyond Nakuru, through the sisal and wilderness wilds to the hot boiling steam springs of flamingo-inhabited Lake Bogoria in the Rift Valley.
Descend some 15,000ft (5,000m) aiming at the longest altitude drop in the world, on a bike. We hike up the world’s largest freestanding mountain to acclimatise over 4 days with porters carrying our bikes & kit. On the 5th day, it's on your bike for as gentle or as rapid & exhilarating descent as you wish. You might even make it into the Guinness Book of World records!
Mt Eburu Reforestation Cycle Challenge supports the replanting of trees in this important highlands rain catchment area. That is the start of the life of the River Nile, so important to those living around lake Victoria & along the length of the Nile. The impact of the reforestation here goes beyond borders & our imagination, is a small but vital part of sustaining our eco-system & planet.
One of our annual one-day cycle rides right into the heart of the Masai Mara through the stunning conservancies. You will pass by Masai grazing their Cattle, plains game (zebra, impala, giraffe and more) & stop for a picnic lunch. A incredibly special way to see the world-famous Mara.
